COUGAR
Not all the great cats reside in Africa !, North America (mostly Canada) is the home of the cougar who is as big as most of his African cousins. Although the cougar is capable of hunting the deer with great success, he also includes rabbits, rodents and other small creatures in his diet. Attack is made easy for this cat- he is known for the ability to take long strides when in running motion, leeping longer than most other cats. Man has feared the cougar due to the fact that he has lived in close contact throughout North American areas. During the 1960's, Some states were offering bounty to eliminate this fine cat. North Canada remains a safe haven where he can live in peace without the threat of mankind.
