Formulas and diagram explanation.

*   MaxOneMinuteTestWatt = Wattage in last full minute with a mag trainer test starting at 160 watt, and increasing 20 watt each minute

**   Estimated  OneMinuteMaxWatt formula = (AvgWattThisTraining + (MaxOneMinuteTestWatt - AvgWattThisTraining) / 3) /
       ((AvgPulseThisTraining - RestPulse) / (MaxPulse - RestPulse))

*** Estimated  ml/min/kg formula = ((OneMinuteMaxWatt * 13) + (YourWeightInKg * 3,5)) / YourWeightInKg

Data is obtained by using the following equipment.

The Polar XTrainer for pulse, time, distance, speed and cadence
Tack Excel for power output,10  programs with 15 routes each with, average and max, power, cadence, speed, pulse
This is the look of the old resistance unit. The new one has a much better comfort and stability when working hard.

What does the training diagram for each training  show :   ( Mail your commants and questions email.gif (12528 bytes) )

Pulse is dark blue,  Cadence is redAvg. power last route is greenSpeed is blue

Y for pulse is showed on left side, cadence and speed on right side. Power equals right side * 2

Example:

980110   P5
53 x 17,  5 x ( 7,0 km slope 0 ;   2,0 km slope 3,  1 km slope 9)
Avg power 192, avg pulse 146 ( 70 % HRR ), * est ml/min/kg 59, ** est max watt 356
Felt much better today, good all the way so decided to try 1 km / 2 min. at 300 watt avg pulse 163, max 172, for avg watt 307.
This is NOT restday. I saw i was low on training time
Sunday i will do a 15 minute test at 260 watt cad 85.
After the 307 the puls fell much faster then yestarday. HURRAY, HURRAY !!
Am i getting a cold or what ?? We will se tomorrow !
The "small alps" in the pulse curve is from phone call and standing up 200 m to get full blood- flow in my "sadle contact area" ;-])
