Copying the Code

  • Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse across the text to highlight it
  • Press Ctrl C to copy the code to the Clipboard
  • Open your HTML document in a text editor like Notepad
  • Position the cursor in the HTML document where you wish to insert the code
  • Press Ctrl V to paste the code into your HTML document
  • Insert your ID number in place of yourIDno
  • Save your document
Note: Some HTML editors modify the code when you save it. One in particular changes the code completely if you 'publish' it using the editor. This is not caused by the code.

If you get problems, use the method above and upload your page using FTP.
(I use CuteFTP from cuteftp.com).

Notes

  • This is a free service, with very few 'rules and regulations'. Dedicated servers have been set up to deliver these counters to you.

    If you can't get the code to work, check the source code of your HTML page and see if there are any mistakes. You should follow the instructions above for copying and pasting the code, as some HTML editors have a habit of changing the code. Try uploading with FTP, as I often come across code that has been changed by the HTML editor during the 'publish' process.

    I recommend that you learn something about writing HTML. It's actually quite easy.

    If you want to know where the stats are for an earlier version, check here.

    Counters with non-standard code or mistakes or with incorrect ID numbers may be removed from our server. Also 'dead' counters (not used for a while) will be removed to save server usage.
