The
Music!
My
father is a musician, so I grew up with the music. He is now retired,
but worked all his life at the music college in Arvika, Ingesunds
musikhögskola.
When I was 5 years old, my parents asked me if I wanted to start
playing the piano. Already at that early age I was determined to
do things my way, so I told them I wanted to play the violin. So
I did. One of the teachers at the music collage used me as an experiement
for teaching small children, called the Suzuki method. I'm not really
sure what that means, I was a bit too young to remember what I did.
I think my mother once told me I learned to play from listening
to music tapes.
I
remember that my teacher taught me the bowing by putting a coin
on the back of my hand. If I could keep it there for long enough,
I could keep the coin...
Unfortunately
I didn't do my homework, so the world lost a great violinist in
me.
