About this cover for "Raider of the Copper Hill"
This cover shows the same kind of scene as the German-published version
(OD 2), but they still look entirely different. On the first version, for
example, Scrooge holds a cowboy hat in his hand, but here Don has replaced
it with a regular cap. Furthermore has the cactus with the sign on on the
first version been replaced by some kind of tree with the same sign (Pay
Dirt!), and all the "desert animals" on the first cover has been replaced
by regular flowers (!). Thus, Don has transformed the scene from dry desert
to steppe landscape.
