Classical ballet - past and present
Dance History: I was born in Gothenburg Sweden. At the age of twelve I joined The Great Theater Ballet School. This was a logical step, as my training in Sweden had been in the Russian style and Cleo Nordi was a disciple of Legat. Unfortunately, an accident put a stop to a further career, and I turned to teaching in stead, running a successful ballet school in Spain for some years. Then, I returned to Sweden and found that teaching proved too much physically, so I started dedicating myself to dance research, producing a great number of radio programs and articles on ballet, concentrating to some extent on Swedish Theater history. |
