The book is written by two leonbergerbreeders who also has worked for loads of years for the Swedish Leonbergersociety. Together we have made over 20 years in the service of the club in almost every position possible. For the club we among some others have written the first edition of ¨The standard illustrated¨ made presentations of the breed at judges-conferences, made the Studbook covering the years 1979-95, arranged the traditional specialtyshow at Haabo-Tibble for 15 years and above all has Margareta made the eminent clubpaper Leonbergernytt from the start of the club and until 1995. We have also reared an appropriate amount of puppies with good health-statistics of wich the most of them has made their families happy, some has become showwinners (mostly Margaretas of course) and Margaretas breeding is the base for many kennels today.

Margareta Gustafson-Eskner

Margareta Gustafsson-Eskner born 1944 lives in Haatuna outside Stockholm, Sweden. Owner of ¨kennel Maelarlejonet¨. Started breeding 1979 and are thereby the first breeder in Sweden! She has during the years had 19 litters. She has worked for the Swedish Leonbergrsociety from the start ( she actually is one of the founders) until 1995.

Margareta is above all known to leonbergerowners as the one who started everything in Sweden and the one who during 15 years wrote one of Swedens nicest dog's clubpapers: Leonbergernytt. It was also she who wrote and put together the impressive book of the breed 1979-95 and she was one of the writers of the first Illustrated Standard published by the society. Margareta is the one who made all the shows at Haabo-Tibble (the traditional summershow) possible, during fifteen years.

Ulrika Rogert

Ulrika Rogert born 1958 lives in Sala north of Stockholm. Owner of ¨Stjaernbackas kennel¨. Had her first litter 1988 and the last 1993. Now a days she only has two leos, mostly for the company because she puts most of her time at working as a teacher. Worked for LBSs since 1988 in different positions of the board and resigned 1994.Co-writer of the first edition of the Illustrated standard published by the club.

Most known for speaking her mind loud and clear about ethics and responsibility towards the breed and the dogowners concerning healthissues and breeding. Not allways a popular person, alas!
