Digital Signalling Radio Telephone Trunking System

System description

Duplexor Plus X provides a fully automatic connection between mobile radios and telephone subscribers as well as to other mobile user, regardless of which radio channel is used. A mobile user can freely call any telephone number. For billing purposes the system contains a log of made calls. System provides a high level of security towards unauthorised use.

Duplexor Plus X consists of 1 to 16 base stations (repeaters) at one or more sites. The system can accomodate up to 1100 subscribers. Each base station is controlled by the Duplexor Plus X controller, which handles the system signalling and controls all the traffic. The Controller is built together with the

Phone Star Plus Inter Connect, which connects the trunking radio system to the telephone network or a private PABX. Phone Star Plus can handle either PULS or tone telephone systems. Additionally it has two inputs for subscriber telephones.

Duplexor Plus X system provides following calltypes:
- mobile/portable radio call to telephone subscriber (any telephone number can be dialled
- telephone subscriber call to mobile/portable (both individual and group call)
- mobile/portable radio to portable/mobile radio (both individual and group call)
- emergency call to a preprogrammed telephone number. (If all system channels are occupied the emergency call is given priority.)

In general Duplexor Plus provides functions that normally is found only with more expensive systems like cellular, Smartnet, MPT etc...

The main purpose for Duplexor Plus is to provide sophisticated mobile telephone connections in rural areas, where the density of users is within the capabilities of the system. Additionally the system can also provide full duplex stationary telephone sets connected to a full duplex mobile radio. In this case also fax machines and computers with low speed data modem can be connected to the system.
